> I'll send you the wheel,  you send me your pedals.    ;)

Sure I can, I have access to a spare set....my brother doesn't use his,
silly sod, he tried mine and promptly ordered his own and now it's
collecting dust since he doesn't have a suitable place to put them and
races from a swiveling office chair....something you really don't want
to with these pedals

I must admit that I like the ECCI wheels, the black whels that is, if
I'm going to keep sim racing I ned to look into getting one of those,
but I'm not ordering their pedals :-)

Is Nigel making them again yet?   The ECCI pedals, new ones, look excellent.

Not sure, doesn't look like the web pages has been updated in a while,
prolly still getting settled into the new place....I hate moving house,
which I don't do very often :-), but I've relocated my shop twice, and
it's a real pain in the ass

Thanks everyone for the replies.  Sadly, it seems pretty much all of the
pedals suggested are designed for stand-alone use sitting upright on the
floor.  The days of me sim-racing in an upright position at my computer
desk are over; I can't go back to that.  So I need to think of something...
Certainly the ECCI and Redline are far too bukly to think of mounting in my
race-frame.  The Thomas might be doable, I'll have to give Eldred's
measurements a look.

Certainly I don't want to give up my Speed7's.  I love the thing.  But if
they continue to exhibit glitchy behavior I may have no choice.  League
race results are at stake here. ;-)

I will contact BRD, but I'm not hopeful.  Maybe that's just my pessimistic
nature, though.

I am in the U.S., and if I decide to get rid of them I'll let you know.

Do you think bad pots could cause my problem?  The pedals work perfectly
fine the majority of the time, but once in a while, not that often yet,
they will stop responding in a game.  It's happened in F1C and GPL.
Unplugging the USB cable, then reconnecting it gets them to respond again
and then they work normally.  That seems more like a problem with
electronics than a pot, but I'm no expert.

Exactly once I've had a problem where I was driving along in GPL and it
got stuck sending a fully-pressed throttle signal.  I had to pull to the
side of the road, apply full brakes, and unplug the USB cable again then
reconnect.

The BRD does have a seperate control box that the USB cable plugs into,
and it is what you use for calibrating.  I'm thinking maybe that thing is
going on the fritz.  If so, it's bad news because the thing is a rip-off
to replace.  Might as well get more reliable pedals if that's the case.

Good!

Yes that helps.  What I'm wondering about though is the angle (?) of the
pedals when they are mounted on the race-frame.  But that's probably
impossible to determine without trying 'em out.

Thanks.

I don't thing the RedLines are that bulky really, if you compare it to
the CD Cover in one of the pics you can tell they aren't as big as they
look, and it's quite easy to lose the "extra" stuff, i.e the "frame"
that keeps it upright on the floor

I'd be happy to take some pics of my set and e-mail them to you, let me
know what you need

As the unit sits on the floor, the pedals are at a 45 deg angle.  When
depressed, thay're at about a 25 deg angle.  So you can figure out what angle
you want to mount the unit at, and determine the resulting total angle.
Better? :-)

That's what I'd do as well, if it wasn't for the fact that I'm too cheap

I just don't think there'd be a good way to mount them to my race-frame,
even if they aren't as big as I thought.  The Redlines don't have a flat
base, they are on two stands spaced well apart.  I think I'd need something
with a flat base.
