Thomas - WOW - this is a great add-on well done.

Everybody should reload heat and try out this beta patch - great work
indeed.

It just shows that talented people can certainly develop code.

  I had to turn off hard core...felt like something was bottoming..everytime
I'd get
squirrelly, it was uncatchable except for stopping...Expert mode and some
setup
tweeks is GRAND!   btw..what is the 'trim' setting for???

The physics will get better -- the center of gravity is too high and
the weight is off in the current release.  I have been able to achieve
realistic lap times with some of our other physics settings, so the
final release should blow you guys away.

I may upload a new cart.car file over the weekend for you all to try
out -- one that's a little closer to the final version.  In the
meantime, keep the comments coming so we know what to change.

this weekend.

  This mod/patch has really upset the apple cart (pun!) in regards to online
racing with Nascar Heat.  First of all...how in the heck did they squeeze a
6 speed gearbox in there?? (NH is a 4 speed)  But online, the mod is
identical to the original Heat, except that the cars are about 20 to 30 mph
faster...
(I'm guessing at the # but they are markedly quicker)  So I go online with
my Champ car and blow by all the Winston Cup squids...not fair at all,
We, as users need to police ourselves and make sure we ONLY JOIN CART
sessions with this patch...
  We don't need the name calling and inuendo that can come from something
like this.
Last night I saw two servers CLEARLY marked as INDY or CART.  Make sure
if you use this patch you don't go in and blow the fenders off the real Heat
cars.
  Man this will get REALLY sticky when the IRL Heat patch and the CTS Heat
patch
come out...methinks the patchmakers need to find a way to keep all the
different
versions separate...
