I was wondering if anyone has heard back from the CART contest held
Monday???
I "entered" from about 12 different sites and am VERY anxious about racing
this sim (even though I like Nascar better).  Any info would be greatly
appreciated!!

The way I understood it was that was winners would be notified by
email on by Oct. 22 and a list of winners would be posted "on
Microsoft's site".
I checked all day and nothing yet on their site or in my mailbox.

Yeah, I sure as hell hope the GAME (well SIM I hope) is better than this
beta sign up program.  Seems to me, if they were only taking the first
10 or so at each site, and posting the link at random, post it, when
you've got 15-20 names(some alternates too) close the link, and inform
the user that they are entered...then have the page say the sign-up is
closed.  I mean, too simple, right?  If they were going to do it like
they did, why not just have a sign up page and then they pick 230 names
at random.

Thought when I got on to a couple of sites after checking them all day I
was IN, seems I got happy for no reason.  But who the hell knows with
MickeySoft.

> Simple - they wanted an easy way to come up with a mailing list.

hehe - I even used IE to log onto the sites, figuring MS would figure
some way to***Netscape users : )  Got a minimal install of it for
logging onto Internet *** Zone for games, although primarily use
Netscape.

NO word yet, and haven't heard of anyone that had.  And you'd think
SOMEONE here on RAS would be among the lucky ones, since we'd be the
type to sit there all day pressing reload to try to get on, whereas some
lamer looking for an arcade game would give up.

If I knew others had gotten word, then I could say oh well, didn't get
it- but I guess this way there's still hope : )
