        I recently re-installed GP3. When I go to patch it, the opening
patch screen appears for about 1/100th of a second and disappears...nothing
happens. When I copy the decrypted 113 exe into the folder, run it and
calibrate my Thrustmaster modena wheel the sim freezes and I have to
ctl-alt-del out. WTF is going on? any ideas/solns please. I am running
Win98SE and have been running it on this computer for about 3 months with
absolutely no hassles??

Reinstalling on the same machine?  How did you get rid of the original
install?  Are there, or have there been any third party mods applied?

I can't say for sure what's causing the trouble, but uninstall using the
uninstaller if you can, then make sure you manually delete any remaining
folders before reinstalling.  You might even need to get drastic enough to
check the registry for any remaining reference to GP3 and cull any you might
find, too, but unless you're real familiar with such  you might want to try
step one first.
