Nascar 4 FPS Settings - need help!

by Cthr » Thu, 19 Sep 2002 00:55:47

I'm currently getting about 40 - 50 fps. Here are my computer specs;
HP 7960 with XP Pro,
384 MB RDRAM,
1.3 ghz P4 1300 Mhz
64 MB Geforce4 ti4200
System has updated drivers for all add-on cards.(just finished that
last night)
I'm running at Open GL.

I have been searching the web and there's just soooo much info that
I'm not sure what's what anymore.
Can someone help cut through all this stuff?

Also, is there a way where I don't need to put the CD in to run Nascar
4?

thanks !!!!

40-50 is not bad but you haven't stated any of the detail settings, if you have most or all of the
graphics options maxed out that is probably as good as it gets for your rig.  Cars ahead, behind,
no. of AI cars, etc, all affect fps.  There is a  no cd patch that can be used for off-line racing,
but you have to use the cd for on-line.  The no cd patch is available at www.theuspits
in the stock car section

I believe there is a no cd patch, but you will not be able to race online
thru Sierra.
