SBK 2001 multiplayer?

by Dave Henri » Wed, 15 Aug 2001 15:52:25

Just finally broke down and picked up sbk 2001.  Hey it was $9 (us) at Wal
Mart.  Looks good...I'm not sure about the controller tho...I made a bunch
of realism changes and the it still felt pretty much the same.
But anyhow...a while back somebody mentioned a group trying MP with SBK.
I tried Google and Dogpile and deja.com & didn't find any more mentions.
Anyone have a clue?

Heck yeah..it's two blocks away.  You meet VERY interesting type people
there, and they seem to be the sole provider of recent games at a discount
around here.  Besides, if I buy the family ***there, it leaves more for me
to go somewhere classy! hahahahaha

Which controller are you using ? You need to make it more
responsive/sensitive to your input. It's possible with the Microsoft FF
Wheel, I don't know about any other devices.
As for the realism settings, I usually set them all to "pro" except the
extra braking power , I leave that at +50. If you set that to zero, the
***y things just will not stop !

I use a MSFF joystick, and love it.  Once you get used to it, you can
really notice the difference between sliding the front or the rear.  I
just love saving slides :).  Just got my ISDN back up, so I could have
a go at some MP if you're interested.

Where else do you buy required household goods at 1 AM?
24 hour stores are vital to the survival of the video game
development industry ;)

I started with the default helps all turned on, to learn the tracks.
First thing I got rid of was the 200% brake...set it to zero and the bikes
still stopped rather easily.  I am assuming it was compression braking, but
heck what do I know...I'll mess around with the controller some more...
it's just a plain jane MS sidewinder(pro or 3d I don't know which)
joystick..no FF  But it works ok..
