Actually, he has finished every race this season and is third in
points :)

And each time RS finishes higher, we'll certainly see you mentioning
it over and over...

Well the only interest for me was seeing Mark Webber in the Minardi
pass De La Rosa's Jag. I'm sure Lauda would be loving that :)

...and for Ralfie too...

As far as I can see, Monty looks faster, but Ralfie's been much smarter.

Oh, I think JPM is a good driver.  Ralf is just doing better at the moment -
which is what counts.  Of course, Ralf may be getting the same 'preferential
treatment' from Williams that his brother gets from Ferrari...
(That oughta stir things up...<g>)

You would have loved Brazil...
My personal reason for getting the race each time I can is that during the 4
practice sessions and warm up you can ride onboard and see exactly how each
driver differs in driving style, how their car is handling, and things you
just don't see from external cameras. And all the european races include a
free Porsche GT3 race on the Sunday morning...

There were quite a few down the field, but the Italian director is never
going to focus on anything which isn't red... Get the Sky Digital package...

Actually, Patrick Head said as JPM drove the car out to the grid he
complained of understeer. They thought it might be because of the cold, new
tyres and it would fix itself after a few laps (as there was no real problem
in warm up), but it didn't go away for the whole race. I can imagine how a
driver like JPM or MS would absolutely hate an understeering car :-)

How do you distinguish "most boring" when it comes to F1 Parades?   <VBG>

Lol Scott.  Most boring ?  Nah, only until the next race, lol.  And for
the record, I LIKE F1...........but it's boring<G>  Face it, they added pit
stops to try to ADD e***ment to it; that says a lot IMO<G>

I have really tried to watch F1 this year, in an effort to get over my
"homer" behaviour when it come to being a race fan. But damn these races are
boring. Once anyone named Schumacher gets the lead, well it's over. And
being impressed by the technology only last so long. So I have to agree that
F1 racing is really, really boring. I know that NASCAR is guilty of "playing
the rules" to force parity on the sport, but you know what, at least those
races are somewhat interesting...and that isn't even mentioning the pit
fits..which have added that NHL-like quality to the sport.
What has shown some potential for being interesting is WRC Rally racing. Now
that is fun, from just trying to listen to some guy machine gun out
directions in Italian, to watching the stunned look on the navigators face
as the car goes flying from the road...This is far more interesting than F1.

This track leads to boring races. All that matters is the engine.

F1 : The most boring race EVER ?

by Dave Hawn » Wed, 17 Apr 2002 08:25:02

Hmmm, I wish I had gone for a walk instead....
We now know why F1 was so much more exciting pre 1967... no wings, no
engine and suspension management systems, no programmed gear shifts.
The 'driver' was the most important element... closely followed by
the car he was 'driving' not 'piloting'... If we want exciting F1
with drivers racing each other and some real overtaking jostling for
position... we have to vote all this electronic ***out of F1...!
Also the pit/crew are to involved with the racing... most modern F1
results appear to be dictated by pit strategy and how fast the crew
change the tyres and fuel up... lets get back to 'drivers actually
racing' each other!!!
Aghhhh, I feel better now.... twitch, twitch!
