Welcome to the world of no sleep, no social life (except for a chat screen),
and lots and lots of take-out food<g>.

You might find these sites helpful:

a GPL racer has started out with her setups  - read about her new Ferrari
setups.

very good Forum for GPL
http://www.theuspits.com/ - the home of the converter needed to use tracks

many other add ons and links for GPL and nearly every other sim available.

Thomas, consider this an intervention. Oh sure, you say now, I can
control it, I can race anytime I want to, I can walk away anytime I want
to. I control GPL, it doesn't control me. And it's just a little harmless
fun right? Doesn't harm a soul, does it. HAH! So you think you're just
going to "get the hang" of the Ring, right? And then you'll go play
something else, maybe Alpha Centuri or European Air War, right? HAH!
Since I got GPL I've done nothing else, Thomas. I spend hours at the
wheel trying to squeeze that extra second out of my time at
MonzaWatkinsGlenMexicoMonacoRouen ... and the Ring ... and now it's
Brand's Hatch. IT WILL NEVER END I SAY! RUN, THOMAS, RUN WHILE THERE'S
STILL TIME.

It's {sob} ... it's too late for us, but you still have {snork ... (a
snork has a large nasal element, you don't want to know)} you still have
a chance. {shudder} ... shudder ... like the shudder I get at the
entrance to Big Bend at the Glen ...

... Say ... maybe if I try a 10/30 ratio with Alison's Ferrari setup I
can ...

gotta run ...

Joe

I've just bought myself a copy of Grand Prix legends. What an
excellent simulator!

I've spent all day in front of the computer racing today. It's taking
me a while to get used to the controls and physics of the cars.

I can see how I will be playing this for many months to come!

I've seen Brands Hatch and have downloaded it from The Pits, but are
there any other tracks available yet?

I'm especially pleased with the full legth 'Ring, but boy is it a
challenge!

badly it's a joke. I almost hate GPL for the grip it has on me :) I'll
bet by the time I find the strength to walk away that GP3 comes along.
Where does it all end?!

So I take it you're a fan of Grand Prix Legends then?

[L.O.L!]

I am unfortunately beginning to feel the effects of this Grand Prix
Legends ***iveness Syndrome. It's constantly on my mind.

I moved onto the Formula 1's today, and hit 1:11.59 on Watkins Glen.
Not bad for a beginner, I suppose, but from what I have seen in this
newsgroup there are many faster racers.

I'm sure only practice, and keen setup management will help.

Hi Thomas,
for the lap records go to "the fast lane" and get depressed.

Jens

BTW: After having GPL right from the beginning I'm STILL depressed
