GeForce2 PCI card?

I'm looking for a good GeForce card, PCI format, for under $250.  Any
suggestions and where can I purchase it?  The stuff on the nVidia site looked
promising, but I can't find any cards like I want.  Thanks in advance.

GeForce2 PCI card?

I would say one of the best rated and most popular Geforce 2 cards are the
Hercules Prophet II 64mb
cards

I actually ordered mine today on pricewatch for $285 and that includes
shipping.

I only had $200 to spend so I am making up for the difference by selling my
old video card.  V3-3000.  Maybe you can do the same thing?

As long as I am at it.. V3-3000 AGP for sale for $65, email me if anyone is
interested

The only PCI GeForce card I've seen is a GeForce 2 MX from Creative,
Compusa sells them as well as many webs sites.  It suppose to be about 15
percent slower than it's AGP counterpart though.   For $250 you could get a
good MB and video card.

I'm having trouble finding anywhere to buy this card.  CompUSA is out of stock
anywhere within 180 miles of me (ouch) and I can't think of anywhere else
around here that even has video cards other than Voodoo based cards.
Suggestions anyone?

Try a good hardware site.  www.comp-u-plus.com tends to have a pretty
good selection.  www.pcnut.com.
http://store.yahoo.com/thechipmerchant/index.html has a pretty good
selection as well.

They really aren't recomended - the T&L system was not deigned to work
over the PCI bus. They are much slower than the AGP versions.

I'm in the same boat as you - P2 300 PCI system, with a Voodoo2.
Wanted a PCI GF2 to bring it closer to modern spec without spending an
arm and leg. I read the reviews and decided I would be wasting my
money.

The sad fact is that upgradable PCs are a myth. :-(

Oh, nevermind.  My dad got me a Voodoo5 card (again) from EB at a mall that's a
good distance from the house.  At least if we have problems, we can return it
easily.  :)
