Updated 3do's for NL cars !

Bonjour !

You will find updated Torino and Superbird bodies at www.theuspits.com (The
Pits) in the Stockcar - Nascar Legends section.

What I have done :
-Lowered and raked each car
-Redone the rear window and rear fenders of the Superbird
-Adjusted the front grille of the shortrack Torino
-New wheels dimensions

All damageds parts and the Pacecar are updated and there is no texture
distortion.
An utility is also available if you want to do it yourself !

Give me some feedback !

Cheers !

There's only one problem.  One MAJOR problem.  The Superbirds I saw on the
web sites weren't Superbirds at all...they were Charger Daytonas.  Just like
Papy in the Legends game.   First of all,  I can't believe Papy just copied
their Charger Daytonas (and short track Chargers) and then called them
Superbirds and Roadrunners (short track).  I'm sorry, but putting a Plymouth
logo on the bottom of the driver screen does NOT turn a Charger Daytona into
a Superbird.  Look at all the screen photo shots of Richard Petty's
Superbird and then compare those to what is being called a Superbird in the
game.  I figured if someone was going to say they had updated the Superbird
bodies, that they would have in fact got rid of the Charger hood and
"scallops" behind the front wheel wells on each side panel and added the
Superbird's "scoop" which is located just in front of the rear wheel wells
on each side panel.  The rear fachia also needs to be converted to
Roadrunner/Superbirds very oblong, almost obelisk shaped taillights from the
Charger's round ones.  Until this is done, no one can say they have updated
the Superbirds in the Legends game.

You are talking about the 'paint' on the car, not the 3do shape, which is
what Gilles
is talking about.  2 separate things.  And yes, we're also fixing the
so-called 'Superbirds'
by repainting them, Jim K. of IWCCCARS should have some released shortly...

Cheers!

I think what is meant is he made it look better...not that he changed the
daytona into a superbird.  The problem is you can only have one car shape for
each type of car (torino for short track and daytona/superbird for super
speedways).  I could be wrong though.  I do think what was done looks good
however.  Good work!

...and along with the updated N2 cars??? WOW! I am sooo e***d.

Get with the program, we want N3 and NL cars, not outdated NR1999 and N2
cars.

DW, why not follow your own advice and 'get with the program'.  We were
talking about NL cars,
not N2.

>But...aren't you STILL doing N2 cars?

Uh, yeah, but what does that have to do with this thread?  The question
was originally that the Charger and Superbird are not different in NL, and
the original
poster complained that we didn't change that, not realizing that is a paint
change,
not a 3do change.  I said that we were updating the **NASCAR LEGENDS**
Superbirds
to be correct, and we've done so...that's when you chimed in and told me to
'get with
the program'...

Just because you don't want to run N2 anymore doesn't mean there isn't
anyone else who

or NL.  We
continue to support all racing sims, and still have N1 stuff in our
archives.

That's the only problem I have with you Jan, you are just too nice to
people....
