Does it matter if you drive a Williams or McLaren in F1RS?
Does the Williams gives you more power?
If I remember well, the power of the players cars in F1GP2
was always the same.

Normally I drive only the McLaren and tried the Ligier/Prost
once. I just did some laps with the Williams but it was not so
easy to drive.

There is a difference between 2 Formula1 teams in F1RS. Basicly the 2 best
are Williams and Ferrari. There is an option in the "Choose Team" menu to
have every car with the same power.  So even if you win with the bes tcar in
Expert, you can still go take a less powered car and try to get the pole/win

Yes.

Yes.

Yep.  I prefer the F1RS approach.

According to the F1RSRAYS editor (avail at www.f1racingsim.com), Benetton has
the same power rating as the above two.  Then McLaren, Jordan, Sauber and
Ligier(?) are grouped well below.  Then the last 4 are grouped far below that.
I would have hoped for more variability than that.

There is also apparently a driver factor, though I haven't seen an editor that
lets you address that.

A very nice feature!

With the editors out there for GP2, you can easily edit the players
car power to whatever you want.

True.  I use GP2edit.  You wouldn't be able to change cars on the fly and get
a difference, you'd have to exit, run GP2edit, then re-enter.  But doable.

Also, doesn't the GP2 "grip" for the player use a different system than the
grip of the AI drivers?  As far as I know, I can't emulate the grip of any
particular AI car/driver preset with any confidence.

There must be some similar function in F1RS, but I haven't seen any editor
that lets you address the AI driver "grip" (or whatever one call's the driver
individual differences).  I would sure reduce Alesi's :-)

There does seem to be a difference in the cars. Some have more power
,slightly better handling and braking. These factors also make you setups
change with each type of car.
