Hey,

Anybody found a site with the carfiles for some of the Nascar drivers that
are competing in the Rolex 24 at Daytona?  I'd like to have the cars for my
nr2003 tptcc mod for robby gordon, jimmie johnson, and dale earnheardt, jr.

Thanks for any input,

Shock

the Kyle Petty/Paul Newman/Gunnar Jennette Car had the most outragaeous
paintjob.  #45 DP.   How old is Newman?  He must be about 80?

I am guessing that they are keeping Newman on life support during his time
out of the car.  Probably by the end of a stint he is near dead.  Kyle Petty
has been close to pathetc, IMHO.  I saw him spin at least twice and nearly
lose control several times.  Poor guy should just stay out of race cars.

Nepitsim lives in NASCAR.  If Kyle's last name wasnt Petty we'd of never
have had to watch this non-driving hippie try to race year after year.   He
can take J.Andretti with him.

Rumor has it that www.nascarnet.com has the Citgo DP cars for
download.
Although I've been unable to access the site for a while now.

Paul Newman is 79 years old and one of the most repsected drivers in
the series.
David Hobbs mentioned, "what if Newman had started competitive driving
in his 20's, he'd be hard to beat".

Kyle Petty is definately at the end of his career. But even the top
drivers were spinning uncontrollable during that rain. Even Dale Jr.
spun at least once on every shift he was driving...LOL.

Too bad a mechanical breakage took them out of the race with about 15
minutes to go. The Nascar boys did pretty well this year.

Considering how well PLN did in the Lime Rock T/A race last year in the wet,
as well as the '02 SCCA Runoffs in a Gentilozzi Jag, I'd say he could
out-drive many guys half his age.

Also, Herr Henrie, PLN turned 79 in the last week or so.

Man, I swear if  Dorsey Schroeder said one more time how good looking the
DP's were I thought I was going to puke.  Talk about forced.

The Doran looks about as good as a Pacer.

Stop the madness!!! Proper cars at Indy and Daytona!!!

The real cars raced on Friday. The HSC raced the GTP's and Group c's
I'd love to see the ALMS cars at Daytona. They'd make the DP's look like
VW's

yes, those Doran's and Fabcars just look wrong.  The Crawfords are the
first DP cars that look 'somewhat' like a racecar.  I saw a picture of the
Crawford next to the Doran, the Doran had a much higher Greenhouse.
The Crawford looked wider and lower...which is how all racecars should
look.  They still don't approach the Porche 962, but at least they are
getting somewhat more palatable.

I feel sorry for Dale and Tony.  They were doing some real ass-kicking until
the car broke :(

Ya I'll give you that.  The Crawfords do look better, sort of like a baby
Toyota GT-One ( not that I'm sure "baby" any thing is the look to be going
for unless you're talking Legends) But the others really do look like Pacers
they're so bulbous and squat. I understand the philosophy of the formula but
couldn't they have made it a little more longer and wider to at least look
like a racing car.
