Click on "Portfolio" and then check out the Panoz, Saleen and Lotus. Nice,
eh? 25,000 polys each is perhaps three times the poly density of the finest
cars that we've seen for Racer (which IMO has the finest cars of any race
sim at the moment).

Quite intriguing the way he writes "Top Secret... modelled for video game.
No more information can be given yet." Anyone any guesses as to the game?

Cheers
Jim

It's the next release in the Need for Speed series by E.A.
It's going to be called "Need for New Computer Unleashed" :)

25k Poly's sugggests front end graphics to me - not in-game

A good in game model with all it's bits and pieces needs no more than 10k -
and any more than that is just sacrificing performance

<snip>

Fantastic graphics... sportscars... no information at all since 2001...
isn't it obvious? ;-)

Those three marques are notorious for no (or low) licensing requirements in
computer/video games.  They're hoping to reap a p.r. dividend.  (Ever wonder
why the Panoz, a car hardly anybody's ever heard of, was in Midtown
Madness?)  Thus, good guess: it's speculative, not a real, greenlighted
game.  Better guess: it's just a demo, Jim.

Nope, I've seen the website/work of the modeller on Fafs game, (as well as a
screenshot of the game) and the shots above are not from it.

Thanx for looking at my car models Jim and Im glad you guys like em. I
wish I could tell you more about what they are for. Unfortunately I
only know a little myself. I do know the platform, but I dont know the
game name yet (they may not even have a name yet).

Here is another model I am working on just for fun:

Great stuff!
There is 1 car for Racer that reaches about 20K polygons; that's an
old '32 Ford, downloadable at the site.
Does wonders to your rendering performance, lol.

Actually, it isn't even that bad, well on my GF3.

I definitely can't argue with that. :)
