Momo Pedals, advice on fixing methods needed.

I got my momo last week, really enjoying simming with it, except the damn
pedal base keeps moving, *** grippers have already come loose.  I have
tried it on both my laminate flooring and a rug.  Neither works well.

Any ideas?

If you are using them at a desk that is close to a wall, set the pedals
where you want them then measure the distance between the baseboard and the
rear of the pedal base, they will never move again. You may have to cut
notches in the wood for pedal travel.

Get some of the "*** mesh drawer liner" stuff they sell to line kitchen
drawers (it looks sort of like a wide-weave *** cloth with bumps - they
also sell it to keep futons from slipping off the frame) - you can get this at
Wal-Mart under several names. Cut out a piece just larger than the base of the
pedals, place it on the floor, put the pedals on top of it. No need for
adhesive and your pedals ain't going nowhere.

There are lot's of good suggestions here. I use a board, myself, but in the
past have used Velcro. Just plaster the loop part of it all over the bottom
of your pedals (it has a self stick backing). That'll stop them from moving
on carpet.

You don't mention if your floors are hard, tile or carpeting.

If they are carpet, get one of those big clear-plastic carpet protectors
your chair sits on.

Then, remove a few screws from the bottom of the pedal base, set the pedal
base in the exact position you want it, and reinsert the screws up through
the bottom of the carpet protector into the pedal base.  You may have to get
longer screws.

I guarantee you it won't move now :)

If your floors are non-carpeted, find something similar in a *** or
***-backed carpet and do the same thing.  You will need to put something
over the***heads so they don't scratch your floor up, though.

I haven't taken a set of these pedals apart, but if the screws go into
stand-offs (or extrusions), not solid plastic, you could break the plastic
if you push *** the pedals.  I'm pretty sure the screws are quite thin.
If you're on a wood or vinyl floor, the***heads on the bottom of the mat
could scratch the floor.
Just a thought.

I covered the scratch issue.

As for the durability, that's a call he'll have to make.  I haven't done it
with the Momo pedals, but if they are constructed that cheap then another
solution is in order.
