F1C : file editor ?

Hello

Apparently F1C is a pain to "tweak" and you have to change zillion of
settings in the ini files, so my question is can't someone with good coding
abilities (I'm excluded) do a sort of TweakUI for F1C where we would have a
small graphical UI to modifiy the values and the "ini experts" could fill
in the line descriptions to know what line does what ?

Thanks for the help

I was thinking about writing a gui for it, but I don't really see the point.
You'd just end up with loads of boxes containing the variable name, and it's
value followed by a box for the new value.

It'd be just as easy to use notepad. If you know what sort of variable
you're looking for, you can easily search for it.

well, that's the point, a GUI would allow to separate the "boxes" in pages
like controller, AI, multiplayer and so on, then it would be possible using
this GUI to make predefined "sets" like for example "act labs wheel" or
"logitech" or "dsl connection" or something like that whoch would make it
veay easy for the stupid users (that's me) to start using the game
correctly

If you want to do this I'll be VERY happy to do all the beta testing you
want.

Keep watching the various F1C web sites.  For past versions of this game it
didn't take long for somebody to come up with custom menus that allowed you
to tweak stuff that the standard menus didn't expose.  I'm sure the same
will be available for F1C soon.
