why doesnt auto update work then, why in the hell do they auto update if
they dont use it!

The NASCAR Racing 3 and NASCAR Legends 1.2.0.4 patches are now
officially available for download from the 'Demos and Downloads'
section of the Sierra website (for some reason the links have not yet
been added to the 'Patches and Updates' section of the Support
website). Additionally the patches should be available via AutoUpdate
early next week, at which point they will be required for Internet
racing.
The Trucks 1.2.1.4 patch which includes the same fixes as the Nascar3
1.2.0.4 patch is still being tested

takes a couple of weeks, auto update is run by sierra, and we all know that
they like to release betas and such... so download it manually :O)
