What it took you 2 years to work that out?
I think ive already done more laps on the GPL demo than I ever did with GP2

'Cos...

a) there is F1RS, which is better in almost every respect
b) GP III is in the making...

Also, man mailt sich...

What do you mean, there are no patches? Sure there are no officially
sanctioned ones, but there are numerous graphic patches to speed it up.
But GP2 is just about the most edited/editable game on the planet! Show
me another game where you can edit:

- tracks
- carshapes
- colours of -everything-
- cc cars performance
- everything abut the car performance, including downforce efficiency
- polar movement of inertia
- cameras
- on-board cameras
-***pit layouts
- in-game pictures
- just about everything else!

P.S F1RS is the arcade sh*t. GP2 is the game of Gods....

N1, N2, and ICR2...The tools aren't as slick as the Win95 one for
GP2, but the tools do exist (we just have to figure out how to use
tha darn things!<g>).

N1, N2, and ICR2 - same as my previous remark.  Been to TSP?<g>

N1, N2, and ICR2 - easy!

N1, N2, and ICR2 - the ability to do so is built in.

N1, N2, and ICR2

uh, got me there...(I don't know what this is - please pardon my
ignorance).  N1, N2, and ICR2, while perhaps not technically
superior to GP2, do give some option to the use of 3D-video cards
(N1 had been optimized for the 3D-Blaster, so my statement is
accurate).

N1, N2, and ICR2

N1, N2, and ICR2

N1, N2, and ICR2

N1, N2, and ICR2 - piece of cake!

N1, N2, and ICR2 - I think.<g>

But they can only drive alone (against CC's)...N1, N2, and ICR2
allow for great head-to-head action via modem, and two of those
mentioned above can be played over a LAN (N1 via the Hawaii
client, and N2 using NROS).  Who wants the game of Gods when you
can have the sim(s) of Gods *and* human opponents?  ;)

Seriously, GP2 is a thoroughly enjoyable sim, I just don't think
it's anywhere near perfect to be called "the game of Gods."  My
tounge-in-cheek remark above should be taken as that: tounge-in-
cheek.  =)

...Besides, everyone knows the "game/sim of Gods" will be GPL.  ;)

Cheers!

There *ARE*?

Perhaps you'd like to point us all towards the URLs, Graeme.
That is, for those that "speed it up" without first *removing* any of
the graphics.

Another constructive comment for the archives?

Do these people really expect anyone to comment on their inane

I really don't know why you stick to this - just because F1RS
has grafics that are far beyond the sun compared to GP2 ???

Ok, so perhaps I was a lttle over-the-top in my praise of GP2. I guess I
treat it like an old friend having had it since the day of it's UK
release!
But I maintain that GP2 is the most editable (F1....) sim and because of
it's sheer playability I will always support it. Editability isn't a
necesity I suppose - I found myself playing the original, un-edited GP2
until about 2am the other day - but it's nice.

But I agree that GPL will probably be the greatest ever....
