(Q) Engine Sounds In GPL

(Q) Engine Sounds In GPL

I've been playing witrh a few shareware sound editors - Sound Gadget Pro
and WaveFlow.

My advice is to stay away from Sound Gadget Pro because if you create a
new wav file, GPL will crash when it starts to load.  Evidently, Sound
Gadget creates a non-compatible WAV file that GPL doesn't seem to know
how to handle.  It also makes an existing wav file incompatible for GPL
if you save an edited file.

WaveFlow creates compatible WAV files, but is rather limited in its
feature set.

That being said, can anyone suggest a decent shareware (freeware) WAV
file editor?

Lastly, When I edit these files, there is a most noticable (and quite
annoying) pop or gap in the sound when running GPL. How do I get rid of
that? I'm not an audio expert or anything, but I do detest the engine
that papy gave us for the eagle/lotus.  Anybody?

I've been trying Goldwave.  I have not done alot with it so far, but I have
edited the Cosworth.wav to get rid of the annoying crackle I hear and it has not
caused any problems in GPL with my new enhanced file.

go here for the program
