I can only add, regrettably, that the same thing has happened to me. I purchased a
Diamond Multimedia Monster II card last November and mailed them the original
receipt as specified and the UPC code. I started calling after 8 weeks, and was
told by a woman there that all my paperwork had been received, and I would be
receiving my rebate once they got caught up. Today I received the following
letter:
Dear Valued Diamond Customer,
Unfortunately, our records do not show that your rebate was received.
Diamond is not responsible for lost, late or misdirected claims. Please fax
or mail a photocopy of your receipt and UPC bar code to the rebate
department with the information below clearly printed on a cover letter.
Stupidly, I never made a copy of those documents. I will never again purchase a
Diamond Multimedia product, nor will I ever recommend any of their products to
anybody.
