Heyas, i'm looking for wheel settings - file or tips on how to make this
game
stop dragging left and right when turning, rather unrealistically i thought
!
Let the wheel go and it just shoots left or right ..the game seems to do
this out of the box, drive straight, give the wheel a nudge and it plonks
on its side !?! How do i make it stop ?

Also where do i get the GTR02 mod for f1C? Google comes up
with nuthin, just links to GT500 and others on racesimcentral

TIA

It would help to specify which wheel you're using.  From the sound of things, I
would guess it's a Logitech.

For some reason the Logitech wheels require a NEGATIVE setting for FF with the
EA racing sims.  Give that a try and see if it helps.

yes sorry its the Momo cheap version- i didnt bother with saying what
wheel i had as these ea games used to do the same thing with my
microsoft as well - was just surprised that this newer game still
does it

negative setting ? what do u mean? in the profiler or in the game ?

In the game, on the screen where you set the controller type and turn FF on
and off.

Set the axis' in the logitech profiler to 50%.   Set the individual steering and pedal
axis' in the sim to 50%.   In the FF section, as Don wrote, set the FF slider to a negative
number.  Try -75% and adjust from there to suit your personal style.
also in the controllers section reduce or zero out the  speed sensitivity,
set all the deadzones to 0% or 1% and then go to your setups and reduce the
steering lock from about 20% to 16% or 18%(adjust for your preference)

The two most important things are moving the FF slider into the negative for
Logi wheels and you may need to reduce the 'Overall effects strength' in the
Logitech control panel if you're still getting some side-to-side problems...

problems...

no that seemed to work fine even without adjusting the panel settings -
the cars dont seem to have the 'feel' or weight of, for eg, the nascar/tptcc
cars - i mean with gt500/gtr mods that is.. is there some way to give the
cars that weighty feel of that sim ? or is it just experimenting time ? :)
