With the patch I now have to use the CD again.  Is anybody "redoing" the No CD
patch?

If your not racing online the old NOcd exe works just fine after you install
the patch. First make a backup copy before you patch and then copy it back
after your done. You'll find the opengl compressed texture problem is fixed
and the sounds are improved.

Probably because the NO-CD exe comes from the warez'ed version of N2002

I ended up with a file called mytnas11.ace.  I do not recognize that
extension.  What do I do with it?

Ace is a compression tool, bit like Zip, so you need to "unace" it,
Winace will do that for you http://www.winace.com/
