Best FF wheel around $100

What do you think is the best FF wheel around $100. I have an ACTLabs
ForceRS with a serial only cartridge, but want to run Windows XP as the only
OS. A USB cartridge, including shipping costs around $100, I think I might
as well buy a new wheel for this price.
What do you suggest?

Are you talking US $100?  For that price I would recommend skipping FF
entirely.  Unless maybe you can find an MS or Thrustmaster wheel at that
price on sale or after a rebate.  The only other FF wheel in that range
is the Logitech FF GP wheel, which is only suitable for arcade games,
IMO.

BTW... The MSFFW is great hardware, but the SideWinder software is eons
behind the times, and there has been no hint of development/upgrade effort
from Microsoft.

The USB wheels with 4.0 software WILL install and work under 2K/XP, though
you will get an argument from the installer at first.  Just ignor and
install anyway.

Avoid ANY Gameport SideWinder product like the plague.  MS has abandoned
those totally.

The LogiTech Force GP is not very good (and NO, the Momo is NOT the same
wheel).

I think the ThrustMaster FF Pro's are under $100 now, but I'm unsure of the
quality.

Get a 2nd hand LWFF (non-GP) from ebay and a ball bearing kit (from this maniac
in Malaysia).
It's not the worst choice <g>
