Twice I've had "strange" things happen with my GP1.
Uncontrolled acceleration, no brakes, no shifting.
Both times it was the plug between the wheel and the base unit was
working loose.
It takes weeks for this to work itself loose, so you have plenty of time
to forget what the previous solution was.
Now I routinely press the plug in (to verify) when I start up the
program.
Haven't had a problem since.
