Does anyone know about this upcoming sim?

I read about it in a UK PC Game magazine!

One advantage over Castrol Honda Superbike sim is that it has REAL tracks
and
not fictional tracks !

This game rocks.  I saw it at E3 and it was stunning - easily the prettiest
racing game at the show.  I know, I know, NFS3 looks cool, but the course
get old real fast.  Superbike Racing had the most incredibly detailed track
I have seen in any racing game - sim or otherwise.  And it was a blast to
play.  They were using joysticks so it took a little getting used to but
after a while I got to like it - leaning the bike by "leaning" the stick
actually felt quite natural.  It felt MUCH more realistic than MR2.  I can't
understand why there hasn't been more information about this - it was being
shown in ***'s booth so maybe that has something to do with it :^)
Anyway, I can't wait for this one to hit the shelves.

Castrol Honda Superbike was pretty lame! This one looks to be the real deal.
Looks like *** wants to compete with Papyrus. No other company has tried
and succeded, yet these boys have 2 cool sims coming! Where do I sign up for
beta testing??? :)

Also check out ***'s Professional Sports Car Racing sim, this one looks
great too. Racing at a 12hr event at Sebring will be incredable with
night/weather effects!!! I even liked this one more then Superbikes, played
it for 4hrs at E3. LAN racing was awesome! Hey if the *** representative
who I beat for those 4hrs is reading this, CAN I BE A BETA TESTER 4
Professional Sports Car Racing??? :) Both titles I hear are suppose to be
released sometime around xmas. I CANT WAIT!

Looked real good till I got to the bit in the press release where they
said "Superbikes is also set to feature licensed riders from the
championship, including Carl Fogarty and Michael Doohan.".  If they
did the research they said they did they shouldn't have made such a
simple mistake. (For those that don't know Mick Doohan is a multiple
500cc GP world champion and is in the running to win this years 500
championship. He has never raced in the superbike world championship).

Another case of the publicity people not letting the facts get in the
way of making a product sound good.

LOL. Oh well, Mick will be pleased to hear this. More money in the bank for him if he
knows :))

Hi, Jeff

Just thought I would let know that your statement about Mick Doohan is not
entirely correct. Back in 1988, I taped a number of the first World
Superbike Championship races. I still have those tapes. One of them was in
Sugo, Japan, and there were a number of racers from the Australian  and
Asian Championships, as well as a multitude of Japanese riders. Amongst them
was one Michael Doohan, a Yamaha rider from the australian series, who won
the second heat. That`s how I know it`s the same one: I saw him on the
podium.

I do think that he never did a full SBK Championship, so you`d be right in
that perspective, but he did do that one race, at least.

I guess I'll stand corrected on that. Thanks for the info.
