MicroProse know all about PR or what. First they spin shit about how good
GP2 is and how they can get 20 fps with all detail on etc etc (on a
Pentium of course) then they advertise that it will be released by mid
September 1995 (yes they did give a year !!!). Now that they have finally
release some sort of demo (after basically ignoring this newsgroup and
not posting any updated information on the homepage for 9 weeks) they
would appear to be unwilling or unprepared to accept the amount of
traffic coming their way now!!! I have been getting connection denied
messages for 2 days from both FTP and WWW so as far as I am concerned
they can shove their piece of code so far up their arse I hope it gives
them a f&%#(&! brain tumor (assuming anyone over there has one). I
will not be buying the game if it ever does get released, I am sure I
will be able to sample it some cheaper way !!, this will just leave more
room on my shelf for NASCAR 4 and IndyCar Racing 7 as both of these games
will probably be out around the same time.
As far as I am concerned MicroProse can go to hell. Lets just hope that
the recent happenings at Papyrus won't have the same effect over their. I
wonder how we can get Rick and Geoff together, maybe they can start a new
company? The products may be a LITTLE late but at least we would be
treated like CUSTOMERS and not DIP SHITS.
Phew......Time for another of those blue pills!!
Bye
A.B.
PS. If anyone is awake at MicroProse my Email address is at the top of
this post (thats the first part.......no you idiot, up the top) you could
always try responding, but I suppose that will be coming in 6 months too
right......will I need a P6 400 to recieve your message or will I have to
be happy with VGA and 13fps?
