I am hoping that N2 setups will not work! :-) This is going to be a
totally different physics engine. There will be things to set up in the
garage that you've never seen in a Papy sim (seperate shocks and
springs, track bar, etc.). Besides, Papy has basically admitted that in
their old style of programming, the "feel" and physics of their sims, was
just to tweak until it felt right. Their new approach is to code the
physics of the car/track and then plug in the variables (torque, weight,
drag, traction, etc.) and actually model the car and track. This may be
the closest we have gotten to having a true "simulator" on our desktop for
auto racing. It'll be a long wait for N3, but thankfully this summer we
get to try the "beta version" <G> (Grand Prix Legends)!
Hopefully all we will need is a P5-166 and a good Voodoo or Rendition
card to be happy.....
