Where to palce and use decals in N2002

Okay.............so maybe getting a game cheap cause the manual(s) are
missing is not ALWAYS a good thing. I cannot figure out where to place the
decals I download. I place them in the import/export folder......but the
only files that will show up in the paintshop is the .tga files. I grabbed a
Simpsons decal that was a .tff (??) and placed it there.....doesn't show up.
NONE of my decal downloads are able to be imported in the games paintshop. I
am NOT entirely PSP and Photoshop literate so I use the "stock" program.
Help me please, my cars are looking MIGHTY plain !!!

                                        TIA......Verne

Just open the graphics file in your favorite app like PSP or whatever, and do a save as, most apps
have the choice to save as a tga that you can then use in N2002 import/export folder.

I don't have another program to paint with......I use the games paint app.
Is there no way to import decals off the net with the game paintshop?? I
have tried using PSP before and it's just my thing. I tried to paint cars in
GTR and a couple other mods.........FORGET IT !!!!   Is this the only way ??

You need some program that will open the decals in their current format, and
then save them as a .tga file.

PSP has a 30-day free trial of their fully functional program
http://www.jasc.com/download_4.asp?  You don't really need to know anything
about using the program.  Just open the files and resave as .tga's.
