GP2 MODEM LINK-UP.

Hi......I have just had my first experience of racing gp2 via modem to
modem link-up.

It was great fun, actually I lost the race, but despite that it was still
great fun!!!!

I only have a 486 DX4 100Mhz pc, and a 14.4 modem, but the link worked
great, and the frame rate wasn't too bad either, I got around 16fps?

If you haven't tried it, go on have ago, you never know you might enjoy
it?

It's a fact indeed that racing against a human oppponent is great fun.

Pitty you can only race against one.

But here's a hint:

let the weakest PC take control of all detail settings, this way you will
prevent any stuttering on his side. When I had a 486 and a friend a P-133,
I couldn't race because the settings were as on the P-133. When I had my
P-166 we had another go at it, and then he couldn't race, so I gave him
control and used his settings and we had a good race at Monza.

It really rocks. LEt's hope GP-3 has 8 player options!!!
