Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to play GP2 over the modem.  I
was quite disappointed.  The frame rate was around 12 fps.  It was very
difficult to drive.

Here is the setup:

SPECS   Computer 1      Computer 2
-----   ----------      ----------
CPU       P90              P166
RAM       32MB             48 MB
VID       ATI 64 (2MB)     Number 9 (2MB)
Comm      16550            16550
Modem     US Robotics      US Robotics
            (28800)          (28800)

We were racing in SVGA mode with the graphics set to AUTOMATIC and the
detail set to min, (1 tick).

Does anyone out there in GP2 land have any clues on how to make the
modem play any smoother?

Matt

Well it is good to see that nothing has changed from GP1 to GP2 as far as the
modem goes. Just another example of MPS products going down the tubes.

-- Right Set your baud rate at 1900 and st frame s at 8fps then switch off
most of detail in mirrors this should work fine.
