GP2 in the U.S. finally!!!!

Just got it EB on my lunch hour!
I heard it is on the shelves everywhere now.

I did not get a very long test drive but here are my initial thoughts on a
Cyrix P150+, 2 meg ati mach 64, 32 meg of ram:

- great engine (not engines) sounds
- I got 23 fps in svga with 50% graphics off
- good spinouts, wrecks, and bouncing around
- great outside car graphics (better than IC2),***pit graphics are ok
- It does not give you the "sensation" of speed that IC2 does
- no sounds of other drivers sucks!  what happened to the doplar sound as
advertised !?
- so far though, I do feel it is well worth the $$$$
- btw, vga wasn't bad at all

email me if you live in the 614 area code :)

If you want doppler effects inside the car, you would have to be parked
to notice. Oh... you ARE parked, well thats a bug ;-)
