Right-front tire temperature too hot on ICR2 converted tracks

by Bob Leo » Fri, 15 Nov 2002 14:08:24

After racing on some converted NASCAR99 tracks (e.g. Pocono, Gateway,
Richmond, Homestead) in ICR2, I have noticed a rather odd regularity:
regardless of converted track, tire compound, or other car setup
parameters, I cannot keep the temperatures on the right-front tire
below 290-300 degrees.  This is strange because I normally have no
problems with excessive tire heat on any of the regular ICR2 oval
tracks.

Does anyone have any suggestions for fixing this apparent problem with
the converted tracks?

Thanks,
Bob

Go to the track's .txt file and copy the THEAT line from a similar standard
ICR2 track (like Michigan for any fast speedway or Phoenix for a slower oval,
etc.) and put it in the converted track's .txt.  Problem solved.  :)
