Indy track converted to ICR2 bug

I'm currently part way through a Indy500 race in ICR2 (converted track from
ICRTP). When you continue the race after you have saved it, the first 2 cars are
positioned ahead of the start/finish line. This results in them not completing
that lap (as they didn't cross the line) and so end up being a lap behind -
although they still figure at the TOP of the position screen (F2)??? I'm pretty
sure I'm running the latest conversion prog. Any ideas? or is it a bug?

Also, in addition to this, I was modem racing on Indy on the weekend, and we were
unable to qualify properly.  My modem pal left the pit first, with me about half
a lap behind.  We were both putting up good numbers, but I was out of fuel after
my 4 laps, and never saw a checkered flaq...but I got the white on the lap before.

I saw my opponents green, white, and checkered flags come out, but his time ended
up in the 150 mph range, mine was in the 130's.  It was all very strange...

Needless to say, we started at the back of the grid.  My pal finished 3rd, I got
10th thanks to Vasser leaving his line to bump me coming out of turn 4.  I should
have been in 4th... :)

Anybody out there able to qualify properly while modem-ing?
