No wonder Papyrus didn't attend E3

I must admit that I was really wondering how Papyrus was going to get
the Legends engine working with 40 some cars on a current or near
future computer.  Now the comments from the E3 attendees indicate that
it probably didn't work at anything near acceptable frame rates. So no
surprise there.  They really now have no new product to show so why
should they waste money and time and put up with grief?  Legends of
Nascar?  Tweaked old engine for Nascar 2000? Good grief, let the
Sierra marketing monkeys handle that.  Kick them tires, boy...

Hopefully we will see another GPL product (hoping from the mid-70's)
that Papyrus employees will be proud enough of to actually want to
talk about.

Just my  $.02 to papy if they are listening.............

I too would love and also PAY for a mid 70s F1 sim, Could  you imagine
the six wheel Tyrell (sp?) the vacuum cleaner Braham WOW. But,
the plain and simple truth is Sierra couldn't care less what the hard
core simmers want ( I am kind of supprised Papyrus got away with GPL).
They are going to go for the broadest base they can reach. How many
people are going to do hundreds of laps at Wadkins Glen to break
1:09:00 ? Not that many in relation to those that will by an arcade
racer like *%&^^^7 (names left out). I don't want to tell you how many
auto racing "sims" I have taken off my computer since GPL was
released. There is Grand Prix Legends and there is everything else. I
am not new to simulations I have every Papyrus Sim except "Nascar 99"
since "Indy 500 the Simulation".  And I realize that getting 40
Nascars to run at an acceptable frame rate on todays computers using
the GPL engine might be a little too much to ask. But I hope
(pessimisticly) that we, the ones that have supported PAPYRUS and
therefore sierra for years will not be left out in the cold.

Thanks for letting me vent.
