Is anyone else getting what looks like water spray from the tires on your
own car, but especially the AI, when it is not wet!?!?!?

Graphics and all options turned up to max.

Thanks,

Marc

Your mouse has moved. Windows must be restarted for the change

Are you seeing this all the time or AFTER a session where there was rain?
If the latter, it's an example of the video cache F1 2002 uses I would
think.  Try exiting the sim and then reloading...if it's STILL there , then
try a reboot.  :)

blocking the wheels.

I've never seen any spray except in wet or variable conditions.

Maybe it's actually dust and/or dirt?

Yesterday night I ve seen it in a friends pc. Conditions were dry. And we
could also see it in the AI cars.
I can confirm that its water since grip were considerably reduced.

And the sky was 100% clean!

Ahhh - I think they have screwed up their weather a bit.

You only seem to be able to see rain if it is a monsoon and it is really
hard to tell by looking at the track if it is wet or not. You can tell by
feel though.

It's like they left out a reflection effect or something on the wet part
of the tracks. I haven't tried out GP4 yet but one area were GP3
absolutely rocked was the wet weather visual effects from the clearly
visible dry line to all the other effects.

I believe when you look at the track screen and anything above 20c
there is moisture in the air/track, even when it appears dry.

Yep. Although I don't *think* its water.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, I only seem get it during practice
days which makes sense because this is when the tracks are usually
'green'. That is they haven't been used for a while therefore there is
plenty of dust and dirty on them reducing the available grip. Nice
feature I thought.

Yes that is exactly what is happening here.  I wonder how we can fix it and
why it only happens on certain machines?
