Should I have loaded and be running N2 in W95 or DOS..should I have
loaded univbe?  I have a p120 32m and a velocity 3d card...when I
installed W95 I never installed dos 6.2 do I need to load this first and
will this load a mouse driver for me...also will sierra be releasing an
actual upgrade for this game or keep on sending out these patches...I
have version 1.0 of N2 but with all the hoopla I dont think I should add
a patch if anybody's out there please help...also I just started racing
over the phone line with a buddy..lots of fun but all sorts of strange
happenings..I get to that next time.. Rage Racing

I don't think the install approach of Win or DOS will make a difference,
however running in Win or DOS may.  I would suggest running in DOS.
There is no need for an older version of DOS.  But, you can setup your
pif to re-boot into dos.  You will need to load your mouse driver and
soundcard drivers (more than likely) in the config.sys/autoexec.bat
portion of the Program-Advanced section of the *.pif.

Univbe, I would give it a try and see if it works for you and that you
get increased performance.

After all of the "presses" of the current version of N2 are sold, there
will probably be a "patched" version of N2 to buy.  But, that's a long
way down the road.  If you are weary of the latest patch, wait awhile
and see if there will be a patch for the patch.  Usually, there will
also be a patch available to take you from 1.0 to the latest fix.  This
way you won't have to patch, then patch the patch.
