GP2 and Split Axis??

by Peter Hoope » Wed, 01 Mar 2000 04:00:00

As mentioned yesterday I installed GP2 on my new pc having not run it at all
for around about 18 months. Have to say that it still rocks and is going to
be staying firmly installed on my HD for a while to come. One quick question
though... does it support split axis pedals. I haven't managed to get it to
work with my LWFF (serial connection) so far so I have re-connected my
trusty old Thrusty Formula 1 but have only managed to get it to work with
the pedals combined. Is this the only way it works or is there a way to get
it to acccept split axis pedals. Running it under Windows 98 by the way...

Only major disappointment so far has been that I archived all my old GP2
directories (including championships, replays, setups, utilities, etc) to
tape to conserve disk space when I wasn't playing it any more and now the
damn tape won't restore :O(((( Would be grateful for some advice on where to
pick up some decent setups, utilities, etc.

Also, since I haven't played it for so long and can't access my old files
can anyone give me some idea of reasonable settings for all the myriad of
options under the advanced controllers part of the sim.. boy I forgot how in
depth that stuff was...

Many Thanks

Peter Hooper
