Will NASCAR 2005 For PC See Pocono?

by William Bradsha » Fri, 03 Sep 2004 16:56:59

From what I've been able to gather so far:

-- Pocono is completely missing on the console versions. It seems the
owners of Pocono wouldn't allow EA to include their track.

-- No Mayfield.

-- No Schrader.

-- No***pit view. IMO, no big loss here 'cause it looked like garbage.

-- Missing drivers in the CT and GN series.

Query: Why release a NASCAR title if you can't include all of the
tracks? Cup tracks, at that. Heck, Pocono has has two races on the schedule.

What are the odds of these things carrying over to the PC version?

While the console versions have a lot of gameplay, I'm afraid that I'll
be limiting this one to renting until I can form my own opinions on it.
If Pocono isn't included in the PC version, either by EA or fan-created,
I won't touch it at all.

Just like Papyrus did for YEARS when they couldn't release Daytona AND
Indianapolis.  They shouldn't have released that garbage.

P.S.  I bet the console version will be extremely FUN to play and will be
very popular because of the new XBOX Live addition.

Pocono was also missing from certain versions.  The owners of Pocono seem to
be the problem here.  Mr. Bradshaw you should let them know the errors of
their ways.

I wouldn't worry too much I am sure some modder can convert or make Pocono
and add cars and drivers.

Is that really much of a shock?  They wouldn't agree to have it in
N3...never had N4 or N2K2 so I dunno about those - but have to assume N2K2
and N2K3 are pretty close...

I don't get why the owners of Pocono don't understand about FREE
PUBLICITY?!?!
