I'm not going to hold my breathe. I'll wait to see what the general
concensus is.

[insert people griping that it won't be as good a Papy's games..]
Well,... it won't.
Phil.
The "Intimidator Button" was a dead give away for me. Sorry guys, but
carrying over on-track incidents into pit road cut-screen scuffles doesn't
translate into a good realistic sim for me.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see EA put out a definative sim but it
seems as though the forthcoming product is an attempt to fill the Papyrus
void and, at the same time be all things to all people (ie. the modified
feeder series, truck series etc)
I bought EA Thunder 2004 and quickly got bored with it. The neatest
things about that sim were the Daytona Beach Track and the MRN intros to the
race.
Maybe I am biased toward Papyrus but they produced the most popular sim
series (both if you count GPL) among afficionado's for a reason.
If they are series about putting a major stock-car sim on the market,
why don't they approach it with the same zeal they put in the F1 series
(Namely the F1C sim)

Intimidator Button? WTF is *that*?

Is this the version that also has the button so you can share your draft

C'mon... Didnt the "the Walace guy" part sell it for you ? I know it did for
me.
To me, that draft thing seems interesting provided it doesn't actually
change the physics model when you use it. From the prelim reports I'd seen,
I thought it would basically put in you cahoots with the AI which would be
VERY nice if you have the better leading car. The AI would then tuck in
behind instead of constantly trying to pass, something that makes chasing
down cars on SS'es difficult in NR2003. I've never played NT on a console,
so I don't know if that's what it actually does. The ability to work with
the AI like that though would bring us a step closer to the racing
experience IMHO.

It was easier for them to jump on a trashing bandwagon, with both feet
