I downloaded the demo, and when I try to launch it I get an error msg. that
says: DirectX initialisation failed! Any ideas?......Do I need a newer vir.
of DirectX?

I'm running........

PII 450
DirectX 6.0
Monster Voodoo II 12 meg
Thriller 3D 8 meg

Try updating your DIRECTX to 6.1
It's very possible one of the directX file in 6.0 is not up to date
Update your V2 card drivers as well
