Game Port problem.

by Julius Fros » Tue, 28 Sep 1999 04:00:00

I have a Soyo 6ba+III motherboard running PIII 500 chip with Win98SE,
Voodoo3500, SB16ISA NonPNP and DirectX6.1a  Game Controller in the Control
Panel shows my Steering Wheel, an Original TSW, as not connected to the SB
Game Port.  Of course it is and I can't figure out the problem.

When I go into N3 and switch to Papyrus mode for my joystick I do see my X
axis but not my Y axis.  When I switch back to DirectX I have no axises.

In my Devices section it shows my game port as working without any problems.
I have no conflicts of any kind that I can see.  I even installed DirectX
7.0, updated the BIOS on my motherboard, check for updated sounddrivers and
so on.

Thanks, Mike Carillon

Mike:

I have TSW #99, the old model, and Ive
never been able to get the brakes to work on the brake pedal.  Brakes will work
if you assign it to a wheel button.

Let me kno if you find a solution.

Have been trying for two wks to get the brake to work.
