logitech momo racing wheel question

Hi,

I know this will sound stupid. I have just gotten into nascar 2003 and
bought a logitech momo force feedback racing wheel.

There are 2 side mounting clamps that are locked in place. the manual
only says "remove the grey console cover" to access the clamps. Which
panel do I remove? I've looked on logitech's site and in the manuel
and the only I see to do is start removice screws..is this right? any
of you guys use this wheel?

thanks for tolerating a complete n00b.

BTW, this is the wheel:

Just remove the cover just behind the shifter paddles. Grasp the cover on top
just behind the paddles with one hand on one side (just inside the shifter) and
the other had on the opposite and pull straight up. This exposes the knobs that
loosen and tighten the clamps. Cover is black BTW.

Don't worry, it stumped me for a while too!  It's bascially just the cover
behind the paddles on top.

I know the feeling, I didn't get a manual with mine.

Thank god I wasn't the only one it stumped. It accidently fell off and
uncovered the clamps for me. I felt like such a noob.
