GP2: been driving new tracks...

by Jonny Hodgso » Sat, 16 May 1998 04:00:00

I finally (!) won an Ace season, so I downloaded a few tracks and tried
them...

 - What sort of time has anyone else set at Graeme Nash's Silverstone '74?
I ran it for an evening and ended up running a 1:01.0 without lifting all
the way round... (standard GP2.EXE except NOCDROM).

 - What has 'Knuckles' done to Wistow Speedway to make it a) pull 254 down
the straights and b) hop like crazy in 200mph corners?  Silv74 just slides
at 200, with very similar wing settings...  (0:44.0, btw)

I'll try some more tracks soon... keep 'em coming, all you people with
time on your hands!!!

This info is useless as long as you don't specify in which position (Interlagos,
Pacific, Imola,...,....)you used the track. Different positions produce
different times. Although it's probably a good guess that it was in the
Silverstone slot? :-)

Tiretype, acceleration, airresistance....are all stored in the trackfiles so can
be manipulated.

When everything else failed, we can still become im-
mortal by making an enormous blunder....

Sorry, yes, forgot that.  It was indeed at Silverstone!

A huge thanks to all those who've been putting in the time and effort to
write new tracks for us all to enjoy!

GP2: been driving new tracks...

Hi all,

Sorry for all this confusion. All my new tracks now have desired slot
info in the "trkform.txt" file.

Cheers,
