LFS - Simple track OFF = much higher FPS !!??

The heading says it all. When viewing replays with the Simple track set to
ON in Misc Options, the frame rate is so bad (1-2 FPS) in places that the
sound starts breaking up. When setting simple track to OFF, which should be
slower, suddenly the framerates are reasonable throughout and there is no
sound break up.

Wierd.
