Nascar Revolution

Hi all,

I'd appreciate some help on a new title I got for x-mas: Nascar Revolution.
I apologize in advance for any naivety!

Is Nascar Revolution the same as Nascar 3?

How do I select manual transmission?

Every time I start the game, I'm forced to re-calibrate my Saitek Cyborg
joystick, and re-select my key configuration. How can I get the game to
remember my config?

Thanks

replies by e-mail if possible...

  No!
Nascar 3 and 2 and 1999 and the BGN expansion are all Papyrus
products, which is distributed by Sierra.  You have a product put out
by EA which makes great hockey and basketball games, but knows didly
squat(sorry for the technical term) about producing a racing "sim".
There is a patch I think that is supposed to improve Nr but I haven't
had the product so I can't help you with it.
In any event, have fun with it...and if you find you are looking for
more, check out N3 or gpl...

The best help anyone can give is to ask whoever gave you the game if they
still have the receipt so you can TAKE IT BACK AS FAST AS POSSIBLE! If they
don't have the receipt then the nearest trash can will work. Then go out and
buy Grand Prix Legends for the best racing simulation on the planet or
Nascar3 for the second best. In the future make sure and look for the
Papyrus logo on the box. If it isn't there than the game is probably crap.

P.S. No I'm not a Sierra employee, just like their racing sims!

Uh-oh.  As Gomer would say "you're goin' straight to hell for that one!"
It's considered sacrilege around here to mention those two titles in the
same sentence. hehe.

I _think_ it's in Game Options.  If you email me, I'll look at home (I
like it when I need a "quick racing fix" and don't have time for N3).
Luckily for me, my wheel's digital so I don't have to recal it, but I
THINK NasRev should "remember" your wheel calibration and settings, as long
as your Control Panel | Game Controllers remembers your settings.

Oh, I'm sure the guy feels _real_ great right about now.   Good job :(

Anyway, go get yourself the latest patches for Nascar Revolution, and it is
plenty playable.

It's not up to the simulation standards of some of Papyrus' sims, but it's a
decent racer _after_ the patches are applied.

The 1.0 version is really, really bad.  PATCH it :)
