Tracks available for NR2?

by Image-inati » Mon, 13 Oct 1997 04:00:00

This may be something that has been covered before -- and I haven't
caught it or it was "before my time" so to speak.

I noticed in a posting of about three weeks ago that BB&B or
something to that effect has additional tracks ----- esentially for
Nascar.  That is great, but how in the world do I find them?  Does
anyone else have tracks and perhaps even fantasy tracks available out
there?  I own Nascar2 and it is actually loaded in my computer -- I DO
have Nascar 1 but I took it out and it sits in the box on the shelf,
but I can certainly utilize if need be.  Are these tracks for NR1  or
NR2  or can they be for both?

It would be great if someone would be so kind as to supply me
with the information for these tracks and the availability

Your help would be greatly appreciated!!

     Doug ----------------- e-mail ---------------

P.S. ------ do these tracks have instructions on how to load them
into the present NR2 simulation?

     Thanks  !!!!!

You can go to Alex's NASCAR Pitshop for n1 and n2 tracks at
http://www.nascarnet.com/pitshop/. They are pretty good. BB&B page url i

a page up on tracks, but I am learning the info. Well, hope this will answer
you question at least partially.

There are three sites that I rely upon for the best new tracks for
Nascar Racing (1 and 2). All have legal conversions, most of which
require you to have a copy of N1 or (in a few cases) ICR2.

They are:

1) Alex' NASCAR Pitshop: http://www.racesimcentral.net/

Down right now,  so  I can't get you a full list. Has many N1 and N2
tracks. Its crowning jewel is USA,  a Daytona substitute. Comes with a
night version, too!

2) Simulator ***world/BBB:
http://sim***world.simplenet.com/bbb/index.html

Has (all these but one are fictional):

For N2: Expo Park (a .525 mile bullring) and Southern National (an
even tighter  .45 mile bullring). Southern National  has day and night
versions.

For N1: The two above (Southern only in day version), plus Flat Glen,
Lake Geneva and Golden State. (Golden State is a sub for California.)

3)  *** Racing Pitstop:

Has the following for N2:

Evergreen, Bullrun, Redrock, Cariboo Speedway (all fakes), plus Disney
and Gateway substitutes. Also has surface patches for Richmond.

For N1, has a Cariboos Road Track and a Cariboos Dirt Track (also
fakes).

Finally, you can buy (and DL a free demo) at The Pits of a program
that converts all ICR2 tracks for use in N2. The url is
http://www.racesimcentral.net/

Most (though not all) come with directions for installation.

*** Racing Pitstop's address is http://www.racesimcentral.net/~matth/sim.htm
I am the owner/operator. Evergreen Speedway is a real track located in
Monroe,Washington where the Supertrucks run. And yes, the rest are fantasy
not fakes.

Thats the URL...check back regularly because they have MANY tracks in
the works.  They are based on N1 tracks but are still fantastic.
Southern National is great!!
