Nascar 2 Questions

by Huk_Phi » Thu, 19 Mar 1998 04:00:00

Hello,

2 Questions (the first has been discussed before, but I missed the
solution).

1) Nascar 2 and Riva based boards (Viper 330) - how do I get Nascar to work
with this board?  Without "Univibe" - the monitor goes completely haywire
when I launch the game.  When I try and install "Univibe" - the program
tells me that my card is not complient.  I thought that the Riva chip was
VESA 3 complient.  Help.

2) Nascar 2 and "Monster Sound" - has anyone been able to get this combo to
work.  I relize that N2 is a "DOS" based game, BUT since it runs in Win 95,
I thought that there may be a way to use this sound card.  I do not have
another sound card in my system.

Thanks for any help.

This is a documented problem with a solution from STB. Go to thier web site,
http://www.stb.com/ and read the faq on Riva 128, I saw the answer to this
just yesterday as I was installing my AGP Velocity.....(btw, in case anyone
adds an AGP card to NT4.0, you must have SP3 for it to work. Took me an hour
to figure this out!!)
