Well, there you go.  That silly, silly Crammond! Fancy not including a
feature where the crowd rise up and don wet-weather gear. Ridiculous!

Imagine the effect.....frame rate sits at a healthy level, it starts to rain
and suddenly the FPS drops to an all-time low, the car becoming
uncontollable at 2.5 FPS as the CPU power is pushed towards making the
100,000-strong crowd put on raincoats!!  HAAAA!

On the other hand, over-filtered 3D graphics can be bad as well.  Trees are
notoriously difficult to draw properly, and a lot of times a pixelated
version gives a better impression than a filtered one.

Exactly. We don't have a good impression of how it actually looks in
movement, but it might just be that they figured it looks better
*without* filtering (certainly the trees). It's not because a 3D-card
feature is available that you HAVE to use it. Could the lack of
filtering on some objects speed up the rendering as well?

Didn't you learn that posting your oppionion regarding any sim adopted by
fanboys of any genre is a violation of the "we know that shit, so we can
call you a dork if you disagree" rule?? ;)

That includes track accuracy, car physics AND the damned virtual arms.
