I am sorry that some folks had a blind fold on.  Do you see pixels on the tree or the
tree trunks????  Look at the amount of "edges" or aliasings  on the graphics???   You
shouldn't see them if the game is well 3D accelerated and at a higher resolution.  Those
screenshots looks like they didn't have bilinear filtering turned on.  This remains me of
F12000 too.

No tricks.  Look at the pixels on the tree, leaves, and tree trunks?

Ya, and that one image with the rain is hardly realistic either.
Just look at the grandstand.  Not one umbrella or rain poncho in the
crowd.  Details, details...

I always thought it meant "full of shit".  I guess that would be
spelt "faecetious".

Eh?  I wasnt.......I said that to lay off the GP3 lads as I am sure its
gonna be a great game and they will have done a great job ....i dont care
THAT much about graphics

I was saying that the original guy was getting his "knickers in a knot" when
they were good enough

Ash *very chilled on a wednesday afternoon* :)

| Ash..... calm down....don't get your "nickers in a knot" over screenies
| while your munching on your "Cornies" & BTW if you check around you'll see
| they are NEW. :))

Judging from the screenshots, I am bothered by the patchy looking ground textures.  Also,
the tire name on some of the shots is more pixel-looking than others.

Especially since on that picture the left side kurb division between the
grass and track should be 1 inch wider than it is modeled in GP3    <vbg to
myself>

I'm just guessing, but if the tree's were drawn in high resolution it would
take more video memory limiting the resolution available to the cars track
(which look amazing IMO) and more time to draw them probably resulting in
some of the CPU power used for the driving model being wasted on drawing
tree's that, in all honesty at 130MPH, you just ain't looking at ;)

<LOL>  Come on, there is no excuse for that and stop making excuses for the game.  At
least make the ground textures more realistic or more 3D hardware rendered.  I just get
this software rendering feel about those screenshots.

Is the field of view adjustable on this thing?
I really wish all sims (flight & racing alike) had such a feature.
Is it really so hard to implement?

Has no-one considered that these minor imperfections will almost
certainly not be visible in a moving image - these are stills after all.

In any case, we'll all know what the game is really like soon enough.

As I said, Vic, they're pretty crook and certainly prove that GP3 will be
nothing but rubbish.
