UniVBE 5.2

I downloaded the UniVBE 5.2 and installed it.  I was wondering how I
get it to work in DOS when using a boot disc for Indycar II.  Should I
Uninstall the current UniVBE that comes with Indycar II.  The current
UniVBE doesn't seem to do anything for my frame rate.  I noticed when
booting up the Univbe 5.2 package has a message that doesn't occur when
using the boot disc and therefore it isn't active with the boot disc??
My Video card is  a S3864 DXP chip set

              Thanks

There are three commands in your autoexec.bat bat file that univbe 5.2
uses. Just copy those to you autoexec.bat file on your boot disc.

You do want to remove the univbe.drv file that was created in your ICR2
directory by ICR2.  If it is still there, the game will load and use it
over the installed 5.2 version.  Also, you can not just copy the  5.2
driver to your ICR2 directory and expect ICR2 to load it.  It won't
since it is a different version.

My problem is that I installed 5.2 on my Win95 machine.   Since the
drive that has Windows on it is compressed, I run ICR2 via a bootdisk
which doesn't load the drvspace files.  If I do this univbe 5.2 will not
work.  It says it's not properly installed.  However, I still haven't
been able to see any real increase in performance on my ATI Mach64 video
card with 5.2, oh well -- waiting for Direct-X...

Or at the DOS prompt type: CD/SDD52 (enter)  then type: UNIVBE (enter).
 This will run UNIVBE 5.2.
