Actually, not EVERYONE can change/thin the headers...  It depends on your
newsreader.

Well, then, all I can say is...  If one can't change the headers, one is
not using a real newsreader. ;-)

Need for Speed III: TIP OF THE YEAR!!!

HERE! THE TIP!! OF THE YEAR!!!!! /which year?/

This afternoon I suddenly had an idea. And it worked! Now, you want some
fun? Like to drive on some really weird tracks? I found the answer to your
needs! And it's VERY simple. Exchange .qfs files between track directories!
That's it! You won't believe your eyes!!!

All track directories got 4 .qfs files. By copying them to another Track
directory and renaming them the right way (you only have to change one
number!) you can get the greatest effects!

Example:
1. Go to /GameData/Tracks/Trk005
2. Copy all four .qfs files to a temporary dir
3. Open /Gamedata/Tracks/Trk006
4. Give the files in the temp dir the same name as the ones you see in
Trk006
(all you have to do is replace the '5' with a '6')
5. Copy these files to /Trk006 (overwriting the old ones)
6. Start NFS 3 and go to Aquatica
7. Enjoy... You won't believe your eyes!!!

The original files are on your CD-Rom so don't worry about that.

Small warning: not all combinations may work: I only tried a few yet.
Copying files to the Redrock Ridge dir gave me an error (nothing to worry
about though!). But copying the .qfs files from Trk008 to Trk004 worked
great and gave a whole new meaning to Country Woods (so that is what it will
look like over there in the year 2140...!)

If you find any great combinations, post them in reply to my message! Let's
have fun!
